Relief Printing with Sarah Hopkins
Using the exhibition Miners Imprint as a stimulus, Sarah will introduce you to a versatile printmaking process called Collagraphy.
Collagraphs are created by making a textured printing block, which is inked and fed through a press.
Anything with a low relief texture can be used to make the block, such as wallpaper, fabrics, tapes and threads, which hold varying amounts of ink and create a range of tones.
With her wealth of experience, Sarah will guide you through the process of translating your ideas into print.
WEDNESDAY 23rd & THURSDAY 24th October: 10am – 4pm
This 2 day course is suitable for beginners, and no previous printmaking experience is necessary.
Cost: £50 per person for the complete two day course.
